Our story

At Trader & Co., community is at the heart of everything we do. We're more than just a cafe — we're a social good space where guests can enjoy ethically sourced specialty coffee, wholesome food, and a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home.

Founded in 2016 by four friends with a vision for a co-op style cafe, wholefoods market, and shared workspace, Trader & Co. has evolved through the years to meet the needs of our local Yass Valley community. Today, Trader & Co. is operated by Daniel & Toni Neuhaus, two of the original founding partners, who are proud to carry on the legacy of the cafe while continuing to foster a strong sense of connection and support for local businesses.

Trader & Co. is also the home of Six8 Coffee Roasters, our in-house specialty coffee roastery, and Yass Wholefoods, offering a range of ethically sourced products that align with our values of sustainability and community. We're passionate about providing a place where everyone can enjoy great food, delicious coffee, and a sense of belonging.
